Autumn half-term at Nääs Castle – family tour of the castle

What was it like to live in a world without electricity – when darkness was truly dark?

During the autumn half-term, we open the doors to Nääs Castle and invite the whole family on an exciting journey back to the 19th century. Follow us through the castle’s rooms and discover what everyday life was like before electric light and modern conveniences became a natural part of life.

How did one light up a large house after the sun had set? What did people do when darkness fell? And what did people really believe could be hiding out there in the forest?

During the tour, stories about life at Nääs are mixed with the folklore of the time, creatures, and beliefs about the unknown. It will be exciting and a little mysterious – but never too scary. Here, curiosity, imagination, and history are central.

And when the adventure in the castle is over, something truly delicious awaits. In the cozy Café, you’ll settle down in front of candlelight and a crackling fire and end your visit with pancakes, cream, and jam.

An autumn half-term experience for both young and old – right in the historic setting of Nääs.
