Nääs is beautiful, interesting and accessible for coach tours almost all year round. The area consists of the castle grounds and the seminar grounds, with several pleasant businesses to visit.
The Sloyd Seminar
The seminar grounds are located at the start of the beautiful avenue on the left and include buildings from the late 19th century, built for the Nääs sloyd teacher training college.
At that time, the seminar was world-famous for its innovative pedagogy and attracted students and delegations from all over the world. Today, the Sloyd Seminar and the Sloyd Museum can be booked for group tours.
You are welcome to book a group visit to Kaffestugan. Let your party experience the food craftsmanship at Nääs – where tradition, flavour and cultural heritage meet. In the old Kaffestugan by the castle, we welcome groups for soup lunch, delicious sandwiches, classic pastries and coffee with seven kinds of cookies, all served in an authentic 19th-century setting.
It provides a wonderful setting for both outings and shared meals in a historic environment.
For bookings and enquiries, please contact us at info@naas.se or 0302-318 39.
Next to Kaffestugan is Nääs Slottsbod, where groups are welcome to browse among antique items, handicrafts and carefully selected goods – a lovely opportunity to take a piece of Nääs home with you.
Slottsboden is always open in connection with bookings at Kaffestugan.
At Nääs, you stay together in a historic setting where turn-of-the-century atmosphere meets today’s comfort. There is space to socialise, unwind and experience something out of the ordinary – with nature and the castle’s stories right outside the door.
On arrival, made-up beds and laid-out towels await you. In the shared kitchens, you can easily make coffee or tea, and the common rooms provide space for togetherness.
The accommodation offers a total of 42 beds across four listed buildings – from single and double rooms to a suite and family rooms. Kitchen, common rooms, as well as shower and toilet are shared within the group, creating a warm and social stay.
For groups, it is possible to add experiences such as castle tours, walks in the castle park or meals at Kaffestugan.
When you cross the small stone bridge over Lake Sävelången, you reach the Castle Grounds. It is just under a ten-minute walk between the seminar grounds and the castle grounds. It is a lovely walk along the path in the avenue. By coach, it only takes a few minutes.
The Castle Shop
At Nääs Slottsbod, you will find a unique mix of vintage and antiques alongside newly produced goods in period style. Stepping into the old granary and browsing is a destination in itself.
There is also a reception with ticket sales and check-in/check-out for accommodation.
We are happy to open Nääs Slottsbod for you in connection with a booked tour of the castle – even on days when we are not normally open.
