Nääs is a place where both people and animals thrive. Here you’ll find miles of trails and gravel roads through the historic castle park and nature reserve – perfect for a walk with your dog or a horseback ride in a beautiful cultural and natural environment.
We ask all visitors to show consideration for each other and for the wildlife, so that Nääs continues to be a safe and pleasant place for everyone. If you are driving through the area, we also ask you to maintain a low speed and be especially attentive, as pedestrians, cyclists, riders, and dogs all use the roads.
Dogs are warmly welcome at Nääs. There are plenty of opportunities here to explore the area with your four-legged friend. Walk through the historic castle park, follow the paths along Lake Sävelången, or venture into the nature reserve, where forest trails and open pastures offer wonderful nature experiences all year round.
To show consideration for other visitors, grazing animals, and the rich wildlife, we ask that dogs always be kept on a leash.
To protect our cultural heritage environments and create a pleasant stay for all guests, dogs are unfortunately not permitted in Nääs Castle or in our accommodations.
We hope that you and your dog will still have many wonderful experiences together at Nääs, where large parts of the area are open to explore all year round.
Assistance dogs are, of course, welcome in accordance with applicable legislation.
Horse riding has been a natural part of life at Nääs for generations, and even today, horses are an obvious part of the landscape.
Specially marked trails run through the area, shared by both riders and pedestrians. Here you’ll find plenty of opportunities to experience the historic castle park and nature reserve from horseback or on foot.
Here, we share nature and show consideration for each other. When you meet a rider, we ask you to slow down and give the horse space to pass calmly. Similarly, riders are encouraged to show consideration for pedestrians and other visitors.
If you are traveling by car through the area, we ask you to drive slowly and be extra attentive. This contributes to a safe environment for people, horses, and dogs alike.
Through thoughtfulness and respect for each other, we collectively contribute to Nääs remaining a safe and pleasant place for both people and animals.
Nääs today is a national heritage building and a nature reserve, but also a large estate with a fantastic history.
