The beautiful castle with a fascinating history. The castle likely possesses Scandinavia’s most complete and untouched 19th-century interior.
Visiting the castle is like stepping straight into the 19th century. Since that day in May 1898 when August Abrahamson passed away, little has changed, even though the house was used to some extent by the Nääs Crafts Teachers’ Seminary until 1966. Maintenance and conservation have ensured that this completely unique environment has been preserved.
Interiors and Collections
Inside the castle, all the revival styles of the era are represented among the richly furnished rooms. The art collection is a brilliant example of 19th-century salon painting.
