Lekhuset is equally suitable for weddings as it is for concerts and other festive gatherings – where every occasion is given a setting beyond the ordinary.
When you choose Lekhuset, your party also becomes part of something larger. The proceeds contribute to preserving and developing Nääs Slott’s unique cultural environment – so that the site can continue to live and create experiences for both today’s and tomorrow’s guests.
About Lekhuset
Dancing, music, and high ceilings – since 1905
Lekhuset was built in 1905 for play and dance courses at the Nääs crafts seminary. The impressive ceiling height and preserved interior make the building unique. The hall can be partitioned with a curtain and features a stage for music or speeches. From the indoor balcony, you get a beautiful view of the festivities.
For parties, the venue accommodates up to 140 guests, and for concerts, up to 200 people in theater seating. Lekhuset is an unheated summer venue available for rent from May to September.

For weddings in Lekhuset, we collaborate with Keyvan Fakhary at I nöd och lust. During the period from Midsummer to mid-September 2026, bookings are made via their website.

Arrange your own wedding (May, June, September)
On certain dates in May, June, and September, Lekhuset can be booked directly through us at Nääs. In these cases, you can arrange your own food, drinks, decoration, and furnishing.

How many guests can it accommodate?
The hall is approximately 400 sqm and is excellent for larger groups. Standard furnishing includes tables and chairs for up to 120 people.

Can we have the ceremony, dinner, and party in the same venue?
Yes, Lekhuset is excellent for gathering the entire wedding day in one place – ceremony, dinner, and dancing can all be held in the same venue. There is also a small stage.

How much does it cost to rent Lekhuset?
- Saturday: 29,000 SEK
- Wednesday: 15,000 SEK

How is Lekhuset equipped?
The Playhouse has toilets with consumables, a kitchenette with a professional dishwasher, a freezer, and eight refrigerators.
In addition, there is also a microwave, a coffee maker, four vacuum flasks, and an electric kettle.

How long do we have access to the venue?
You get access to the venue from 12:00 PM the day before your wedding until 3:00 PM the day after. This gives you plenty of time to prepare for your party and restore the venue afterward.

Can we bring our own food and drinks?
You have the freedom to choose your own arrangement for food and drinks – you arrange catering and service on your own.

Can we decorate the venue ourselves?
Yes, you are responsible for table setting and decoration, which gives you great freedom to create your own style. It is important to remember to be careful with the building; it is not permitted to nail, staple, or cause any damage.

Can we use the area outside Lekhuset?
Yes, the Lekhus square is perfect for toasts and photography. Other use of the outdoor environment is only permitted by special agreement.

What are the rules regarding candles, grilling, smoking, and fire?
- Smoking is only permitted outdoors in designated areas
- Outdoor torches must be placed at least 4 meters from the building
- Fireworks, sparklers, and smoke machines are not permitted
- Grilling is not permitted
- Candles on the tables are fine, provided they are used with moderation and common sense
How late can we play music?
You are very welcome to celebrate properly! Music at a higher volume is permitted until 02.00. doors to the venue must be kept closed after 00.00.
Do we need to clean up after ourselves?
Final cleaning is included, but you are responsible for removing decorations, performing a basic tidy-up, and sorting and disposing of trash.

Is parking included?
Yes, five parking permits are included for the Lekhuset parking lot. Other guests are referred to the regular visitor parking areas.

When is our booking confirmed?
Your booking is confirmed when the invoice is paid and the contract is signed and sent to us.

What happens if we need to cancel?
We understand that plans sometimes change. For cancellations made earlier than 8 months before the wedding, 50% of the rent is refunded. For later cancellations, unfortunately, no refund is given.

Is there anything specific we should keep in mind?
Lekhuset is part of a unique cultural heritage, which we are very protective of. We therefore ask you to show extra consideration for the building and its surroundings.
