Lake Sävelången is always just around the corner here at Nääs. The lake stretches from Norsesund and Ingared in the north, where it is connected to Mjörn, to Floda in the south, where it transitions into the Säveån river at the power station, flowing all the way to Gothenburg to empty into the sea. Sävelången offers refreshing bathing and rich fishing waters.
At Nääs, you will find Nääsbadet – a lovely municipal bathing area with a jetty and a small sandy beach offering views of the castle on the other side of the lake. There is grass for picnics and a permanent barbecue area. During summer, a toilet is also available on site.
For bathing at Nääsbadet, it is best to park in the large car park before Nääs Bridge and take a short walk along the lake on a path lined with exciting hollow oak trees to peek into.
Around the area, there are also beautiful natural spots perfect for a dip, for example, in the castle park where you will find Slottsparksbadet.
Today, Nääs is a national monument and a nature reserve, but also a large estate with a fantastic history.
