Here, you stay in the heart of a historic castle and estate environment—and at the same time at a historic seminar venue where people from Sweden and around the world have gathered to learn, teach, and develop craft and handicraft for over a hundred years.
You stay in the very same houses where generations of teachers and students have lived. The buildings, rooms, and shared social spaces still retain much of their historic character. The accommodation is beautiful but simple, and that is part of the experience. There is no traditional hotel service here—instead, you stay in the middle of history, in houses that tell the story of the generations before you.

At Nääs, the atmosphere of the 19th century meets the comforts of today. The rooms are individually furnished with antiques and historic furniture, while the beds themselves are modern and comfortable. When you arrive, your bed will already be made and towels will be waiting—and in the shared kitchens, you’re welcome to prepare a simple meal or make yourself a cup of coffee or tea.
The accommodation offers a total of 42 beds spread across four listed historic buildings, with everything from single and double rooms to suites and family rooms. As a guest, you’ll have access to shared kitchens and common rooms. Most guest rooms share a shower and toilet.
The accommodation at Nääs is a member of STF, the Swedish Tourist Association.
