Nääs Castle is located in Floda, approximately 30 km northeast of Gothenburg along the E20 towards Alingsås.

Take the E20 between Gothenburg and Alingsås, exit at junction 89, Nääsmotet, towards Nääs/Öijared. From the junction, follow the castle avenue which leads all the way up to the castle.
If you are attending a party/event at Lekhuset or Vänhem, or taking a course in the seminary area, take the small avenue, Otto Salomons allé, to the left after the sharp right turn but before Nääs Bridge.
Take the commuter train to “Floda station” and walk under the motorway and up through the castle avenue. Alternatively, continue by local bus to the bus stop “Lilla Nääs”.

Nearest bus stop: Lilla Nääs (the bus stops on the other side of the motorway – take the pedestrian path under the motorway and then follow Floda Allé)
Nearest commuter train station: Floda Station (walk along the lake and through Nääs Ekhagar – see below)
It is easy to walk from Floda Station to Nääs, a walk of approximately 25 minutes.
If you start at the station, begin by crossing the bridge at the power station where the lake becomes a river, turn left along the lake and follow the signs for “Gotaleden” (blue hiking trail signs). “Floda-Nääs Sjörunda” (green square) follows the same path but is signposted clockwise. When the road turns right and has taken you a bit uphill – turn left again onto the path through the oak forest reserve at the large sign.

Nääs today is a national heritage building and a nature reserve, but also a large estate with a fantastic history.
