In the grand hall on the castle’s second floor, you can gather for a wedding ceremony during most of the year. The hall’s Empire-style interior provides a bright and elegant atmosphere for your special day.

In the South Wing by the castle, you will find the beautiful Selma suite available to book for the wedding night, and wedding guests can stay in the historic North Wing nearby.

Frequently asked questions about weddings at Nääs Castle
Party size and price
Parties can be 2–40 people including the bridal couple. Price from 4,500 SEK on weekdays and from 5,500 SEK on evenings, weekends and public holidays.
A booked wedding at the castle can be cancelled free of charge up to two weeks in advance. After that, we charge 50% up to the day before the wedding, and for cancellations on the same day, full payment applies.
Officiant
The bridal couple books an officiant themselves via Lerum Municipality’s website, where information is available about what is needed before a wedding.
Photography
Photography is permitted in the grand hall in connection with the wedding ceremony itself. If you wish to have time for a longer photography session, this must be arranged when booking the wedding and an additional fee will apply. No photography is permitted in the rest of the castle.
Drop-in weddings
We also arrange drop-in weddings in the grand hall of the castle for small parties of a maximum of eight people on selected occasions throughout the year.
Things to consider for a wedding at the castle
Nääs Castle is a museum and a unique cultural heritage site. The interior is original from the 19th century.
- Guests sit on antique Gothenburg chairs. Other seating furniture are museum objects and may not be used.
- The entrance doors are normally kept locked and guarded at all times. It is therefore necessary to arrange with staff when booking the wedding when the doors are to be opened.
- Normally, guests gather on the castle courtyard to be let in at one time shortly before the wedding ceremony.
- For weddings with many guests, we would appreciate if the bridal couple has a host or hostess who can stand by the door and help guests find their seats.
- It is not permitted to bring prams or pets into the castle.
- The castle is not accessible for persons with any form of disability.
- There are no toilets inside Nääs Castle.
- During the winter months, it is cold in Nääs Castle as it is a building that is difficult to heat. Please inform your guests of this so that they have the opportunity to bring extra clothing.
