Celebrate Midsummer at Nääs – one of Western Sweden’s largest and most beloved folk festivals. For over 130 years, people have gathered here to dance, celebrate, and meet during the brightest time of summer.
The tradition dates back to the days of the handicraft school in the late 1800s, when course participants and teachers filled the area with life and festivities. The same spirit lives on today. For two days, Nääs is filled with thousands of visitors, music, dancing around the maypole, and an atmosphere that carries both history and joy.
Bring family and friends, settle down on the grass, or join in the dancing – there is room for both quiet moments and lively celebrations. And when evening turns to night, the festivities continue, with dancing and fellowship well into the summer night.

11:30 PM Torch dance, night coffee, continued dancing at Lekhuset until sunrise

Admission:
Adult: 100 SEK
Child: 50 SEK, ages 7–16
Free admission for visitors in folk costume, regardless of region or country.
Tickets can be purchased via the Ticket Kiosk or at the entrance ticket offices on site at the event area.
Parking:
Free parking. There are a limited number of parking spaces, so please carpool or use public transport if possible.
Accessibility:
Accessible toilet available at Lekhuset, with entrance from the back of the building.
There are a limited number of parking spaces for persons with valid disability permits near the event area. Please note that cars are not permitted inside the event area.

The Midsummer celebration at Nääs is organized by the August Abrahamson Foundation in collaboration with the non-profit associations Näässamfundet and the Royal Västgöta Infantrymen.

The celebration continues on Midsummer Day – Näässamfundet invites you to a peasant wedding at Lekhuset.
Nääs today is a national heritage building and a nature reserve, but also a large estate with a fantastic history.
