Slöjd & Byggnadsvård invites you to Window Renovation Day at Nääs – a national theme day that highlights the value of preserving and caring for older windows. During the day, you will have the opportunity to try window renovation in practice yourself, with support from experienced instructors.
Feel free to bring your own window and learn the basics of the craft: putty removal, glass removal, and puttying. During the workshop, there is also ample time to ask questions about glass quality, paint selection, weather stripping, and other important aspects of the work.
Window Renovation Day is organized throughout the country and aims to highlight the great value found in older windows. Many windows are replaced unnecessarily, even though they can often be renovated – and moreover, they possess a quality that is difficult to find in new windows today.
Most old windows can be saved. As a reward for your efforts, you will receive not only a beautiful result, but also a sustainable choice for both the house and the environment.
The workshop is free of charge, but advance registration is required. Tools are available on site, but materials such as wood, putty, and pins must be brought by yourself. There is also the possibility to purchase materials and tools in the shop at Slöjd & Byggnadsvård at Nääs.
