Midsummer Week at Nääs

Starting the weekend before midsummer, the non-profit organization Näässamfundet invites you to Midsummer Week at Nääs – a unique opportunity to become part of the time-honored midsummer traditions that have characterized this place for generations. The week is filled with courses, dancing, and activities, culminates on Midsummer Eve, and concludes traditionally with a traditional peasant wedding on Midsummer Day.

You choose how you wish to participate – individual courses or several throughout the week. During the days, courses are offered in music, dance, and creative activities, given as full or half days. For a truly authentic experience, the evening course in folk dancing in Lekhuset is particularly recommended, which takes place every evening throughout the week. Here you will learn the dances that have long held a special place at Nääs – and which are danced every year during the midsummer festivities. If you wish to participate in the dance performance on Midsummer Eve – folk costumes are available for rent! No prior experience required; here, community and the joy of dancing are at the heart.

For those who wish to deepen the experience, there is an opportunity to combine the courses with accommodation at Nääs – and truly experience the place’s tranquility, community, and historic environment throughout the week.
