Welcome to an atmospheric folk song workshop at Nääs – a place where singing has long been an integral part of the community. Over two mornings, you will have the opportunity to delve into the Swedish folk song heritage together with other singing enthusiasts.
The workshop is led by Annelie Westerlund, a well-known and respected figure in folk music and song circles. With warmth and reassurance, she guides participants through a lively learning experience where we sing by ear and explore different harmonies.
The repertoire includes both short and long songs, sorrowful and joyful – a rich variation that reflects the many expressions of folk music. Here, it’s not about performance, but about sharing the joy of singing and letting voices meet.

She is joined by musicians Cajsa Turesson, educated at the Academy of Music and active as a pianist, and Kim Risberg, who with his accordion gets the dance floor moving – often at a high tempo with Finnish influences.
