Drop-in Wedding Ceremony at the Castle

Say yes to each other at Nääs Castle. Every year during the Ascension Day weekend, we open the castle’s grand hall for drop-in wedding ceremonies – a perfect opportunity to marry in castle style on a small, personal scale.

The ceremony is designed for smaller parties with a maximum of eight people, including the couple, guests, and any witnesses. Each ceremony takes approximately 20 minutes, and as entrance music for the wedding ceremony, we play the beautiful Nääs Bridal Waltz, specially composed for Nääs by composer Tormod Tvete Vik in Tollered.

A Day for Love

We are happy to help you add a special touch to your wedding day. In connection with the ceremony, there is also the opportunity to book wedding photography in the Castle Park, pre-order your bridal bouquet, and reserve a table to celebrate in the Coffee House after the ceremony.

If you wish to extend the experience, there is also the opportunity to book accommodation in our historic buildings – perhaps the bridal suite in the South Wing with a view over Lake Sävelången.

Practical information

Important Preparations

Propose and get a ‘yes’.
Apply in good time for a certificate of no impediment from the Tax Agency where either party is registered.
Bring valid documents (marriage certificate and certificate of no impediment) from the Tax Agency, as well as your ID documents.
Bring two witnesses or book witnesses through us. Witnesses must be able to provide identification. We can provide witnesses at 400 SEK per witness if you wish.

On the Day

Arrive in good time, approximately 30 minutes before your booked time
Upon arrival, you register at Nääs Castle Shop, where payment is made and you receive practical information before the ceremony.
Drop-in is offered subject to availability during the day
Failure to arrive will be charged
The castle does not have a toilet and is not accessibility-adapted

Book Your Drop-in Wedding Ceremony

Price: 2,600 SEK per wedding party for a ceremony in the grand hall of the castle.
The municipality’s marriage fee is additional, approximately 800–850 SEK.
Witnesses can be booked through Nääs for 400 SEK per person.
